Where are my files stored?
All files are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or backup your files to any external servers.
Can I organize files into folders?
Yes! You can create folders and move files between them to keep everything organized.
What file types are supported?
Doc Vault supports all file types. PDFs, images, videos, audio, and text files can be viewed directly in the app with built-in viewers.
Is my data private?
Yes. Doc Vault does not collect any personal data or analytics. Everything stays on your device.
How do I share a file?
Open any file and tap the share button to share it with other apps on your device.
How does Wi-Fi Transfer work?
Open the Tools tab and tap Wi-Fi Transfer. Doc Vault starts a local server on your device and shows a web address. Open that address on any computer or phone on the same Wi-Fi network to upload and download files. A PIN code keeps the session secure, and the server stops the moment you close the screen.
Can I scan documents with Doc Vault?
Yes. The built-in document scanner captures multi-page scans with your camera, automatically detects edges, and saves the result as either images or a single PDF. Everything happens on your device, no internet needed.
Can Doc Vault search inside my files?
Yes. Doc Vault reads the text inside PDFs, recognizes text in photos and scanned documents, and indexes EXIF metadata so you can find a photo by its camera or location. All processing runs on your device, nothing is ever uploaded.
Can I convert between file formats?
Yes. The Convert Media tool handles common conversions like HEIC to JPG, PNG, or WEBP, and MOV to MP4. You can also extract the audio track from any video as a separate file.
