All files are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or backup your files to any external servers.

Yes! You can create folders and move files between them to keep everything organized.

Doc Vault stores any file type. Over 60 formats open directly in the app with built-in viewers: PDFs, images, video, audio, and more than 35 text and code formats. On iPhone and iPad, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and iWork documents preview in the app too. Anything else can still be stored, organized, shared, and opened with another app.

Long-press any file or folder and choose Export, or select several at once. On Android you pick a destination folder on your device and everything is copied there with its folder structure intact. On iOS the share sheet opens so you can save to Files or send it anywhere. Wi-Fi Transfer is the other route when you want files on your computer.

Yes. Doc Vault does not collect any personal data or analytics. Everything stays on your device.

Open any file and tap the share button to share it with other apps on your device.

Open the Tools tab and tap Wi-Fi Transfer. Doc Vault starts a local server on your device and shows a web address. Open that address on any computer or phone on the same Wi-Fi network to upload and download files. A PIN code keeps the session secure, and the server stops the moment you close the screen.

Yes. The built-in document scanner captures multi-page scans with your camera, automatically detects edges, and saves the result as either images or a single PDF. Everything happens on your device, no internet needed.

Yes. Doc Vault reads the text inside PDFs and notes, recognizes text in photos and scanned documents, and indexes EXIF metadata so you can find a photo by its camera or location. Text in photos and scans is recognized for English and other Latin-script languages; Arabic text in photos, scans, and PDFs on Android can't be searched yet. All processing runs on your device, and nothing is ever uploaded.

Yes. The Convert Media tool handles common conversions like HEIC to JPG, PNG, or WEBP, and MOV to MP4. You can also extract the audio track from any video as a separate file.

Yes. Turn on App Lock in Settings and Doc Vault asks for your face, fingerprint or device passcode every time you open it, or after a delay you choose. There's no separate password to forget.

It moves to Recently Deleted and stays there for 30 days, so you can bring it back. After 30 days it's removed for good, or sooner if you empty Recently Deleted yourself.

Yes. It has its own player with a queue, shuffle and repeat. Audio keeps playing in the background with lock screen controls, and videos support Picture in Picture.

Open Storage from Home. It shows what takes space by type and suggests large videos, duplicates and similar photos to review. Compress Video makes a smaller copy of a video you want to keep.
