Doc Vault - File Manager
Overview
Doc Vault is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or files.
Data Storage
All files and documents you add to Doc Vault are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your files, and they are never uploaded to any external servers. Files you delete stay in Recently Deleted on your device for 30 days and are then removed for good.
Data Collection
Doc Vault does not collect any personal information, usage data, analytics, or crash reports. The app functions entirely offline and does not require an internet connection except when accessing web links you've saved.
App Lock
App Lock uses your device's own screen lock: Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, face unlock or passcode, through the operating system's authentication. Doc Vault never sees, stores or transmits your biometric data. The system only tells the app whether the check passed.
Wi-Fi Transfer
When you start Wi-Fi Transfer, Doc Vault runs a small web server on your device, protected by a PIN, and files move directly between your device and the browser on the same local network. Nothing passes through any external server, and the server stops when you leave the screen.
Search Inside Files
To search inside your files, Doc Vault reads the text in documents and recognizes text in photos and scans on your device. The search index is stored on your device and is never uploaded.
Third-Party Services
Doc Vault does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Web Links
When you add a web link to the app and open it, your device will connect to that external website. The privacy practices of those external websites are governed by their own privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
Doc Vault does not collect any data from any users, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
